This is something that my on-line teacher has me playing. I took up the guitar again and even though this is a short piece it has a certain beauty to it. It should be played faster, but i think it also sounds nice at this tempo. The recording has a hiss and i don't know why as my recorder is a yamaha pocketrak. I tried editing out the hiss in sound forge but it also took away some of the music sound, so this is it as recorded. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :^).

A sound i made by scraping guitar strings with my fingernails. Recorded on november 20th, 2021.

A horror sound for as a sound effect. I played smoke on the water on my guitar, recorded it and edited it in audacity. I reversed the audio, tuned the sound lower and speeded it up. This was the result, a creepy horror suspense sound.

Recorded this with my epiphone sg through the focusrite interface into reaper. I changed the octave which gave it an 'organy' sound. I think bach would have had fun with something like this. :-) comments welcome.

Made in ableton live. Layered together out of various explosions sounds and a kick drum. One sound layer ran through a guitar amp for distortion. Low-fi-ish.

Another very old production, i think this one's from around 2009 even!. Using the reverb of a chord i made on my guitar i created a drone-y, washed out sound. Added some subtle bitcrushed drums, cymbals and a vst synthesizer plays some notes to fill it out a bit, and a dark brooding bass-like instrument pulls up near the end of the track.

A sound i created in garage band i originally intended to use as a podcast intro. . . I suppose it could also work at the beginning of a pop song or something as well. It includes some synth, guitar, processed vocal sounds, percussion, and a panther growl.

I created this sound with additive synthesis ,using different eg`s and five different sounds for low ,middle and high harmonics. The pluck noise is a filtered noise at the resonance frequency of 523 hz.

Stereo recording of a short scratch bass. Loundge style. I used fruity loops software for this sound. I put an effect of piano roll, an acoustic guitar, an fx scratch, the hip kick for the bass with an other bass effect.

I recorded this a ways back on a cassette recorder and i tried to remove as much hiss as i could with sony's 'sound forge' but i think the hiss kinda gives it an old time vinyl sound. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

A slow, fingerpicked chord progression on a 6-string guitar. I recorded this using my zoom h4n recorder and some external, stereo microphones. The microphones were the samson c0-2 and i had them mounted on two separatemicrophone stands: 1 was pointed at my left hand on the fret board to hopefully get the finger-squeaks, and the other microphone was pointed right above the sound-hole about 3 inches above the opening. It's nearly impossible to find sound effects of someone handling an instrument and not playing it. . . At least it was until i uploaded this!. This was an acoustic guitar, but can be pitched up or down for similar smaller or bigger instruments. There's rubbing, knocking, and gliding fingers over the strings. No need to credit me. This is some feedback that was recorded in the studio after we had finished recording some songs, it was just something to do, the effect pedal used in this is a 'electro-harmonix polychorus'. Some interesting sounds in there.

The beat was made using the real drum sounds in fruity loops for a friend who wanted to jam some new guitar riffs for his band. The tempo was originally 60 bpm but sounds better at 90bpm. It comprises of 2 bars of drums with hats and 2 with a ride.

I created this big truck sound by tunning a virtual electric guitar program. I feel it sound more good for horror genre. Its all free enjoy.

A quickly rising synth that then sustains until repeating, meant to sound like the sort of alarm you'd hear in top secret bases and whatnot, could be used for quite a few contexts. This was made in beepbox using the guitar harmonics instrument.

This jump scare sound was created by playing 2 dissonant chords on a single coil telecaster mic'd up w/ a vox ac 10 amp. The two guitar tracks are panned left and right- reverb and delay are added. Additionally, frequency enhancers were added between 4khz - 6khz which adds a higher tonal energy in the upper range of the guitar. Gain is added which can be heard as signal noise mostly at the end of the clip. Enjoy. Bainmack.
